Oh Shit: A Toilet War is Raging in Cape Town, South Africa

South Africa has among the widest income inequality in the world, and Cape Town is a living and breathing example of that inequality.

Activists are bringing the most basic of issues -- toilet access -- to the steps of the legislature (literally) to illustrate just how poorly water and sanitation resources are distributed in their city.

This commentator describes the activism as a "poo war."
