Paris Imposes Car Ban After Air Pollution Hits Record High


Half the motorists in Paris were banned from driving their cars and motorcycles on Monday and Tuesday after a series of warm days and cold nights and caused the worst pollution levels since 2007. Only motorists with odd-numbered number plates were allowed to drive on Monday, and only those with even-numbered plates could travel on Tuesday.

    I don't think this is GOOD in that it had to happen but I think it's so GOOD that Paris is doing this. I grew up in Paris and at the time there were SO many cars. I was just there this past summer and there are still a BUNCH of cars but I was so pleasantly surprised to see that there were also so many bikes. My dad and I used the Paris Bike Share program to get around town. It was great!
