Pork pulls profit for woman in Uganda


Duculina and her children survived the brutal civil war in northern Uganda, but their home, garden and crops were destroyed while they were forced into hiding. It fell to Duculina, a widow, to keep them alive and rebuild their lives. With help from Network for Africa's Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA), she has saved enough money to open a pork restaurant. The Pork Joint has proven very popular -- it bring in up to £65 ($97) a day.
