This 'stunt' had an AMAZING ROI.
They've been trying (and failing) to get to younger demographics in order to ensure the long-term health of the Affordable Care Act... Mashable says "The bet paid off. According to Tara McGuinness, who is part of the White House communications crew, FunnyOrDie, the site where the clip is hosted, is the '#1 source of referrals to http://HealthCare.gov right now.' They wanted hits, and they got them."

Love hearing that, Agus. Kind of a gutsy play to humanize the oneself when they're the president but also feels fundamental to a world we aspire toward and derivative of the dynamic that the presidency evolved from back in the early days if democracy. Glad it also hit the tactical objective as well.

Couldn't agree more. I believe they couldn't do one (connect) without the other (humanise).
In my opinion, this worked because a) they had a clear objective b) the white house was not afraid to try 'new ways' (and yes, POTUS seems like a guy who wouldn't be afraid to do such a stunt) c) they let go and din't try to manipulate. You watch this interview, and it's like any other B2F interview that Zach has done.
Super interesting article on Vulture about the aftermath from the exec producer perspective http://www.vulture.com/2014/03/president-obama-between-two-ferns-making-of.html
When talking about the haters, he goes "The great part about it is, this president knows how to reach young people in a way that no other president has, and it’s very important that he reach young people with this issue. This is so much better and will attract so much more attention than him going on a Sunday morning show and talking about this issue when most people I know of this generation aren’t even up that early on a Sunday morning. The outrage about it is from a different generation, and the younger people really get it."
        Spot on.

Amazing. I love Zach G. This just took his show to a new level. Love the plug about Healthcare.gov. LOL: Is this what they mean by drones?
