I love all of these ideas!

I have always thought of crowdfunding beehives. Many bees are dying because of gm crops and they are extremely important for our world; and I think this is a green way to help out our planet.

Fantastic showcase of social good projects that deserve support! Like many on this thread, I too wanted to share the IndieGoGo campaign for Tomato Sherpa - a small company in SF that takes the stress out of cooking dinner with kitchen-tested recipe kits containing step-by-step instructions and locally-sourced, portioned ingredients. Our mission is improved health for people, communities and our ecology through cooking.

We've outgrown the cramped shared kitchen space and need to get a larger space to grow, reach more people, and strengthen our local food system. Check it out - the video is pretty funny too - http://igg.me/at/tomatosherpa/x/4228563. Thanks! Kim

Great list of projects that deserve support! For consideration for the next list, Tomato Sherpa, small SF-based start up, takes the stress out of cooking dinner with kitchen-tested recipe kits containing step-by-step instructions and locally-sourced, portioned ingredients. We want to improve health for people, communities and our environment through cooking. Check out our Indiegogo campaign - http://igg.me/at/tomatosherpa/x/4228563 - we'd love the support and to share with others!

This is awesome! All of these are great projects! I especially like the Grow Jars. I am from San Luis Obispo, surrounded by some of the greatest agriculture around but it wasn't until I tried to grow some of my own food that I really took an appreciation for farming! I have been working on a business called Farmgram that helps people reconnect with their food by learning where it comes from, how its grown, and how to cook it! Check us out on kickstarter, we recently launched! http://kck.st/177pfGz Thanks!

    Hi Alessandra,
These are great picks. We are trying to get an eco-friendly trash/recycle can made. The idea actually came out of a dispute my wife and I had recycling. I'm sad to say I was a lazy recycler anywhere outside of the kitchen where our main recycle bin is and my wife was sick of fishing recyclables out of trash. We went to buy trash/recycle bins for our house and couldn't find any decent options in stores. That led us to create our own. It will be made in the U.S.A. from recycled polypropylene. We are currently trying to fund it on Kickstarter at: http://kck.st/YUTM0H Thanks for checking it out.

Love your picks, especially the urban farm. I hope you would consider taking a look at our Oyster Farm project. We are a sustainable oyster farm on a mission to provide a portion of our oysters into a wild seeding program for long term estuary health. We'll throw some back when you do. Thanks for taking a look at our video! http://kck.st/10rBw5q
