We have a lot of people interested in coding on our site, and we've even created our own coding program here: http://cfg.good.is/ What do you think your program offers that's different than others?

    • Code Start

We love it when we're asked this question. Most interactive coding websites focus on web languages such as html, css, javascript, ruby on rails, etc. CodeStart is targeted at higher level programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and C#.

Along with interactive exercises and quizzes, the users will be able to write full programs step by step and choose whether to be guided or not.

Also the videos will have 3d animations to help the user better understand hard to grasp topics.

We chose higher level programming languages for two reasons: because it is what is taught in computer science/engineering degrees, and because the web technology market is getting crowded.

      Beautiful site by the way.

Thanks CodeStart! Would love to know if you're offering these lessons to schools at all?

Oh definitely! Initially, we plan to launch to the general public at first, since it's a lot easier to do. Shortly after launch we will start to develop a platform geared more towards high schools, universities, and corporations also.

Thanks Alessandra we really appreciate you reaching out to us. We love the tech community and the push for coding education! We are looking to connect with bloggers who are passionate about coding as much as we are to help show the importance of coding. We want to make coding fun and not scary. It does look intimidating to the absolute beginner but we want to take that fear away and replace it with empowerment. We followed Patrick and read his blog about his new found passion in coding while mixing in some Lord of the Rings which is awesome! If you know of any people that would be beneficial for us to connect with please let us know. We are new to GOOD and love it! If there is anything we can do for you as well feel free to let us know. Thanks Alessandra!
