    Excellent article and tips, Kristen. I like your product a lot as well, though my town does not recycle food waste at the moment. Even so, I was happy to back your campaign and share it on my Facebook page.

    Though I see your campaign's time is running out, I wish you well in a new campaign launch if you run one or whatever is needed for introducing CompoKeeper.

      Thanks Martin!! We didn't reach our campaign goal but, with the interest in our campaign, we were able to raise investment money and will be making them anyway!

      I shook hands with the other presenters too. It was comforting to connect with them and realize we were all walking in the same shoes. There were some services included in the prize that weren't relevant for our business so we offered them to the runner up. Having befriended them already made that gift much more heartfelt.

    very similar feeling that I get when I explain an idea... even to investors. You are told think big think big. But doing so often get a 'stupid idea' or 'that's impossible' retort. Then you get discouraged... then you see the idea make someone else tons of dough 3 times...

      I've had that same experience, especially with wanting to integrate even more social good into the business. Investors have a good point, though. If you can create something simple that is sustainable (financially), THEN you can start applying your big thinking skills and build something that can't be replicated.

      Thanks Grace, I did too. #1 was the most helpful and the most challenging in that regard. Let yourself feel those excited emotions but choose to label them differently! #3 and #4 were really helpful too.
