Social enterprise MamaCarts takes on hunger in West Africa

Four young alumna from Colorado State University have come up with an ingenious solution to food insecurity in the developing world – a nonprofit food cart micro-franchise that will use existing supply chains to distribute complete, clean, and delicious meals to lower income urban markets. And they are putting their idea into action, with a pilot project currently underway in the city of Parakou in Benin, in West Africa.
