Somali Sisters Bring Dignity to Women in Mogadishu Refugee Camps

Asha is a humanitarian activist and Somali politician whose work to build peace and defend women's rights in Somalia is internationally recognized. Along with her sister Amina, Asha founded Saving Somali Women and Children, an organization that helps traumatized women and children in the refugee camps in Mogadishu. The organization provides food, medical care, basic dignity kits with soap, underwear, a headscarf and sanitary products to the women and girls in the camp.
