Sore Losers Can Learn a Lot from the Giants Pitcher Who Was This Close to Pitching a Perfect Game

For baseball fans around the world, it was crushing to see the hit that ended San Francisco Giants pitcher Yusmeiro Petit's chance to be only the 24th player in history to pitch a perfect game. Yet the pitcher threw his arms in triumph. After the game, he offered a humble perspective, saying he was expressing his gratitude for having the chance to show what he could do. "This was my first complete game in the big leagues. I felt the same as I would have if I threw a no-hitter," he said. Awesome.
