How Can We Redesign Society?

The Venus Project articulates a new, holistic, and sustainable vision of how human existence on Earth might be, or rather should be. Conceived as a redesign of our culture, Jacque Fresco's project is social design at its best because it capitalizes on the realization that everything, from the cups we drink from to the social systems we exist within, is designed. Therefore, by thoughtful and intentional redesign, we can achieve change and the Venus Project is seeking to do just that.

    This project might be taken as a fringe entity which is unfortunate. Everything here makes sense of scientific and moral perspective. I wish this becomes our focus of scholarly studies that dominates the mainstream.

    This is fascinating- thanks for sharing. It's interesting to see someone thinking about design on a systems level, when so often designers are focused on a particular product or service. To solve the really big problems, I think we need to think bigger.
