The importance of sustainable fashion should not be limited to niche "eco-fashion" companies. Creating sustainable practices within the apparel and textile industry is about protecting human and environmental rights, and should be viewed as mandatory for all companies, large and small.

    There's definitely a need. The fashion industry could use a re-framing of a lot of their business practices but also the culture of fashion. If better materials, construction and fairer labor could come together, the industry could change for the better.

    Too much of fashion is disposable.

      Absolutely. Glad to see companies like Puma are at least taking steps to rethink the way in which production waste can be reduced and reused. Now if only this model could become the industry norm. http://www.puma.com/cleverworld
