The Pollination Project reforests Haiti

Albert says, “Haiti is in my heart”. He started the Maya Nut Initiative after realizing that the food security, health and environmental problems that plague Haiti, root back to mass deforestation. It effects the water and food sources that are insufficient for a population. The Maya Nut Tree is one of the largest in the rainforest, it is drought tolerant and can handle a variety of soil types. The seed is a super food rich in protein, zinc, calcium, vitamin A, folate, and antioxidants.
