    I've been trying to tell this story to my mother for years. The over-consumption of fashion within the last 15 years is really harmful to our wallets over the long run. It's definitely something that can be slowed down - with better education about how to take care of cheap textiles.

    This statistic is crazy: "...the sorters choose exactly 11,200 garments a day to be divided up equally between the eight thrift stores they serve." And that's just from one distribution center...
