Oh man, I wish LA had this!!! I feel like I'm still trying to figure out the best roads to take throughout the city.

What areas do you ride in? I've always thought about making a map of some of the routes I take. Maybe I'll get to it soon. I'd be happy to suggest a few streets in the meantime.

I am typically biking through East Side and Mid City. I live in Larchmont and head down towards GOOD on a typical ride, so that's not too difficult. But being north of 4th Ave and trying to go across town to Silver Lake or West Hollywood is tricky... specifically when you're up by Melrose. Any suggestions of ones that are as easy and fast to bike on?

Let's organize a train ride one of these days and ride to work together. I can ride the train to a midpoint to meet you all.

This really would make the biking life much easier. This is the closest thing I found to this but it's still a bit confusing and it shows how most of the streets in LA are not very bike-friendly: http://bicyclela.org/maps_main.htm

That's awesome, seems to have a similar set of streets as Google Maps' bike routes.

Yea I know it's a work in progress but I do hope they continue working on it. It's helpful to know what streets are better than others. I rode on Beverly Blvd and was by far the worst riding experience I have ever had :/
