These Low-Cost Origami Shoes Make Shipping and Recycling Easy

Adele Peters

Made from a single sheet of foam rubber that's folded up like origami, these simple shoes are easy to ship anywhere in the world, and could even be printed locally. As a bonus, because it's all made from the same material, it's much easier to recycle.

Better solution than TOMS, I assume. It'd be cool if all major shoe manufacturers signed up to buy-one-give-one of these origami shoes, considering their low cost. Wouldn't that be awesome?

I love that these look stylish too. Practical yet well-designed. Love it. There are so many iterations of simple flats that it's cool to see this unique take.
