These Low-Cost Origami Shoes Make Shipping and Recycling Easy

Made from a single sheet of foam rubber that's folded up like origami, these simple shoes are easy to ship anywhere in the world, and could even be printed locally. The designers hope that the shoes can help prevent parasitic diseases in the developing world, where other shoes are often too expensive. As a bonus, because it's all made from the same material, it's much easier to recycle.

    Better solution than TOMS, I assume. It'd be cool if all major shoe manufacturers signed up to buy-one-give-one of these origami shoes, considering their low cost. Wouldn't that be awesome?

    I love that these look stylish too. Practical yet well-designed. Love it. There are so many iterations of simple flats that it's cool to see this unique take.
