Think Prison Industrial Complex Corruption Isn't That Bad? Watch How Two Judges Convicted Kids For Cash

Private prisons have one goal: profit. And they need bodies to make that profit. In "Kids For Cash" Democracy Now talks to two of the thousands of Pennsylvania youth who "were jailed by two corrupt judges who received $2.6 million in kickbacks from the builders and owners of private prison facilities." For example, 14-year-old "Charlie Balasavage was sent to juvenile detention after his parents unknowingly bought him a stolen scooter." Meanwhile both the judge and the prison profited.
