This app may not have changed my life, but it did empower me to change it on my own. It helped me to recognize trends and then suggested improvements; being aware of the situation is almost always a necessary first step to changing it for the better. I have been using mint for about a year and a half and it wasn't entirely useful until I added a few months worth of data. Also it's free to use and a great app, the rest is up to you!

I don't think the majority of people think Apps are going to do more than provide the data to help with your own actions, but I do think that sometimes taking a step in a direction can either motivate people to chill out, or to take more steps. I think a good app might be able to support the latter.
