This Map Shows Where Changes to the Voting Rights Act Matter Most

Thanks to the Supreme Court, Section 4 of that the pillar of civil rights era legislation, the Voting Rights Act, "which outlines how the government is to determine which states, counties, towns, and other jurisdictions have to have their voting laws 'precleared' by the Justice Department" is now unconstitutional. No election laws can be chaned without federal review. This Washington Post map shows the areas of the nation most affected. Surprise, surprise, most of them are in the South.
