Congrats! I take it you got the funding. I think your project is so rad. I shared the project with Neuro Club at my school, they're all about cognitive science. Also I can really relate to your relationship with science, thanks for sharing.

Wonderful! Love to hear about programs making creative learning accessible! I am the founder and Director of ArtVan, a mobile arts therapy program. As a visual artist it is about using the arts to activate imagination, create and discover. We bring this to low income neighborhoods. Keep it rolling! www.artvanprogram.org

Agastya has taken science out to rural India using Mobile Labs for the past 10 years. They have 65 mobile labs each with over 200 simple hands on experiments using local materials and have reached over 5 million children and 100,000 teachers in India. The experiments are universal and can be used in the US too. Take a look at http://www.agastya.org/

Raj...that's breathtaking! Would love to collaborate sometime in the future and do some cross-cultural psychology/neuroscience--one of the major research topics at my lab: http://casasanto.com/. I might even have to make a trip out there at some point.

This is amazing - It's like Bill Nye The Science Guy in a truck :) Creativity + STEM = love it!

    • Tyler Alterman

Not sure if I can compare to Bill (or as I like to call him, "The Holy One"), but I'll certainly be following his example!

What an amazing project! I donated to support and I will share among all my friends - that is the least I can do with only a few days remaining.

I know of one camp full of kids already eagerly awaiting a visit from the Think Tank. Let the learning begin!

If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

Congratulations, and march on in the name of accessible science!

Your enthusiasm and curiosity is contagious Tyler! The children of NYC would be lucky to have it unleashed upon them in the form of The Think Tank :-)

    • Tyler Alterman

Thank you for saying so! And I love the word choice of "unleash." Prepare for a LEARNING RAMPAGE.

  • Joe Eastman

    Hooray for increasing science literacy!

  • Adele Peters

This is awesome. I hope the Think Tank comes to my neighborhood.

    • Tyler Alterman

I do too! Are you an NYC-er? Either way, I hope to get TTT driving beyond NYC after a test bed period.

      • Adele Peters

I am in NYC, as a matter of fact. And hoping that, since I'm no longer in elementary school, there might be a way for adults to also visit TTT...

There certainly will--we hope to be pulling up to sidewalks in all five boroughs to invite folks of all ages aboard.
