"And maybe someday I'll see you again. We'll float up in the clouds and we'll never see the end ..."

Those are lyrics from "Clouds," an original song by Minneapolis teen Zach Sobiech. The 18-year-old wrote it as a goodbye to his friends and family because even though 2.6 million of us have watched the song's video on YouTube—and BMI signed him to a recording contract—Zach has a rare bone cancer called osteosarcoma. No matter how much we love the song, he's still going to die.

Our friends over at SoulPancake sent their "My Last Days" team to Minneapolis to film an episode with Zach, and they were so moved by the experience that they rustled up his friends and family members, as well as a star-studded cast of celebrities, to send Zach the same warmth and love he has, despite his diagnosis, given the world.

In the video above, folks like Rainn Wilson, Jason Mraz, Rachel Bilson, and Sarah Silverman lip synch the lyrics to "Clouds." It's a beautiful, uplifting tribute...and if you don't bawl by the end, you're probably not human.

CNN contributor Amanda Enayati recently talked to Zach's mom, Laura. The lesson we have to take away from Zach's life, writes Enayati, is that "no matter where you are in life, look at what you have and be grateful. It's the kind of thing you hear all the time. Putting it into action takes some work sometimes. But there are always things in life to be grateful for, no matter where you are."

Thanks, Zach, for giving us all such a poignant reminder.
