The District of Columbia is on its way to becoming the nation's foremost Social Enterprise City, says Ryan Ulbrich, co-founder of Raise Your City, "but more can be done to help drive social innovation and cultivate more... enterprises right here in the nation’s capital."     Really cool to see all the social enterprises currently in DC. I love the idea to get enterprises more connected to local philanthropy and academia.

    I agree - cities need to be included in the conversation about social enterprise, and DC has such a distinct opportunity. I like that this includes both a list of some of the awesome groups that already make DC unique plus three specific ways to advocate on how to make it better.

    And I've never heard of the author's group Raise Your City, but checking it out now, thanks!
