Want to Master a New Skill? Go For Quantity, Not Quality

We often tell kids that it's not how much they study, it's how they study that counts. But what if that's the wrong approach to learning new things and mastering skills? What if the answer is to have students create as much as possible so that they get a feel for what works and doesn't along the road to mastery, and can experiment, innovate, and problem solve? Herbert Liu says need only look at the rock stars in our lives because this is the method they use to learn and become excellent.
