What's a Tail Wag Really Say About Dogs?

Elisa Huang

I always assumed tail wagging was a sign of a happy dog, but this fascinating new study finds that it may be more complex than we think. The direction of a wag--left or right--could actually say a lot about which side of the dog's brain is activated and what message it's given to other dogs.
