    I like how they elevate the conversation above simplified dichotomies, and look at systemic reasons for the move. It's interesting how we'll apply principles shallowly for the sake of short term evidence, but hesitate in the application of strategies that have more potential impact in the long run but may appear less sexy initially.

    Interesting. I'm actually surprised that she gets so much resistance to the fact that the program is limited to women...

      Some engineers are both particularly sensitive to "fairness" and also a little obtuse when it comes to slipping on the shoes of those who don't share their advantages. It's a shame that we can't all just get excited about adding some diversity to our ranks!
