Why That Report Slamming America's Teacher Prep Programs Isn't All It's Cracked Up to Be

A new report from the National Council on Teacher Quality claims to evaluate teacher prep programs but noted Stanford professor Linda Darling-Hammond says it doesn't "accurately reflect the work of teacher education programs" and "concerns about the organization’s methods led most schools of education nationally and in California to decline to participate in the data collection." As a result, Darling-Hammond says the ratings are "based on partial and often inaccurate data."
