Will a Degree From an Ivy League School's Online Program Ever Have as Much Clout as a Traditional One?

College costs keep on rising so why not take advantage of an Ivy League school's much less expensive online or extension program? Over at the Atlantic, Theodore R. Johnson details how he took the "back door into Harvard" and earned his master's degree for a fraction of the cost of a traditional program. But online programs are usually seen as easier, which "is particularly unnerving to Ivy League institutions and an anathema to their prestige."
