Yemeni Street Art Pushes Social Change

Each hour in Murad Sobay's 12-hour street art campaign, citizens in Yemen's capital came to the streets to talk about a different major social issue—from gun control to sectarianism—via graffiti on city walls. In an hour of the campaign focused on the problem of kidnappings, people came forward to paint the portraits of 100 loved ones who have 'disappeared.' Sobay told al Jazeera he's hoping through campaign's peaceful protest will help 'return Yemen to real Yemenis.'
