These are some great and creative ways of getting the message of adoption out to the public. I hate the guilt messages of the sad shelter images, as I don't think anyone should adopt a pet out of guilt. I think you need to be ready for a long term commitment, not simply feel bad about a heart-wrenching image of a sad puppy or kitten. These ads have the shock value of getting the message across without that, so that when people feel ready for a pet, hopefully they'll think adoption. My furry critters are adopted, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
