I am constantly challenging my friends, family, and students to rediscover their "inner 3 year old." That part of themselves that inquires about the world around them with awe, admiration, and excitement. Many times for young learners, the frightening moments still inspire inquisition once the flurry of emotions settles, ending in questions like "why did that happen?" The power of curiosity is that it is not deterred by set backs. Often, it is inspired by them. I remind myself too to look at the world with curious eyes and ask the probing questions until my thirst for learning is sated, even if it is only temporarily. Thanks for sharing, Catherine!
