Privatized schools are run by BIG BUSINESS. Big business firms are cheapskates. If they get their way, the students will spend all day sitting in front of a computer taking multiple choice tests until they learn the answers. This requires one underpaid, rather cranky monitor to insist the students sit still and click on answers, for each room of twenty low end desk top computers. Internet access can be added when the powers that be decide the students are ready to learn how to use Google to search for information. If an when the powers that be decide that English composition is desirable, a word processing program with a really good spell check and grammar check can be added with essay questions. It should be possible either to rig the word processing program or to use a separate program to grade the answers to the essay questions. As long as docile little test takers memorizing facts and concepts is all that is really wanted from schools, such a system is workable.
