Are we then going to demand a civil rights charge against the United States of America for being filled with ass-hats? Yes, this was a horrible act, but it comes down to two assholes meeting on the street and one of them is dead. You are all falling for the media's sensationalizing of this story and helping them sell cars and junk food on the 6 o'clock news. Take the time and look around YOUR neighborhood for ways to engage the community and prevent this from happening again, don't make a federal case out of a federal case that's had enough idiots involved in it already. Calling on the AG to "do something" is just another avoidance technique that activists love: get someone else to take action or the government to take responsibility for the failure of our own selves in our own communities. It's a lot harder to talk to our neighbors about difficult subjects than it is to sign a petition by remote control. This is the fundamental failure of the moneyed consumer economy: remote control.
