This sounded like an amazing opportunity for me when I first heard of the David Lynch Foundation, being a veteran diagnosed with PTSD. I went to the OWW website and couldn't find out how to sign up. I eventually sent an email to the general contact address and was offered to attend an info session from a TM teacher in my area. I attended the first several hour informational session, where I was forced to watch several videos and graphs claiming the benefits of TM, I started to get skeptical. It was after I signed a contract stating I would be willing to participate that I was told the extreme pricing structure that you are "encouraged" to pay into beyond the $2500 initial price. I tried bringing up my veteran status and asked how the David Lynch foundation is involved but I was only given a form where I could apply for a grant and maybe have some of price covered. I kept asking why it costs so much because I simply wanted to learn how to meditate to help cope with my PTSD symptoms but was never given a clear answer. I suggest anyone looking into this to do a little bit of research before you jump in. And if anybody knows how the David Lynch foundation actually connects with the veterans, I'd love to hear it.
