Thanks for asking, yes my attorney has done that. The average discrepancy between men and women in the workplace in general is 15% and that is exactly what it is in several of the cases here. The case is worth pursuing because if people do not take a stand the practice will continue and continue to be the norm. I work in broadcasting and believe that across the board in my company women are being paid less than men. This was an open secret for at least two women and of course I found out when a male who had the same job description as me revealed what he made. I should say I do more than my job description, I have won awards for my work here. I tried to settle the matter with them but they were dismissive. Another woman here also tried to go at this issue and they laughed in her face. She has two small children and was unable to pursue it further. Hope that gives you some context.
