Hi Alessandra - submitted materials must be digital photos of projects that incorporate the built environment...in most cases these are site specific in one way or another (the reasoning/concept for this is explained in more detail on the website). For example, Matthew Mazzotta, one of the artists who will be participating (he was invited, not selected from the current open call), will be showing photos of his project called Open House in York, AL. Matthew worked with people of York and Coleman Center for the Arts to "transform a blighted property in York's downtown into a new public art project this is in the shape of a house, but can physically transform into a 100 seat open air theater, free for the public." But I am interested in receiving photos and info about all sorts of projects from artists that aim to make positive change in the world. This might mean artistic re-use of public space, activities/efforts/interventions that bring about policy change, artist-led progressive education programs, or ...? Feel free to contact me through the website if you have more questions!
