Agree with the comment below. But also, I think we're kidding ourselves when we label things like Sky City and Great City as sustainable. Are these highly sustainable masterplans being built on greenfields site really good for the environment? What are the biodiversity impacts? Sure, the construction and operational aspects look enticing and maybe the alternatives (low-density sprawl on greenfields sites) are poor, but we're really just continuing to ignore the big issues. Population growth is out of control. Whether its for a super green city or a sprawling suburb, land consumption needs to be addressed.
