Soma should do the right thing (for the collective GOOD of all) and not put out any statements re: this filter's performance capabilities until it has had it thoroughly tested by an independent 3rd party lab like NSF International. To tease the public into thinking that this new, sexy and environmentally friendly pour-through filter carafe can address more than just chlorine reduction (like the heavy metals and "other contaminants" speculated)-- just isn't the correct approach. Too many empty promises have arisen out of the water treatment industry over the decades to just believe on good faith that Soma has a "completely unique filter... like nothing else in the world." If the FAQ statement about Soma's testing being incomplete at present is true-- then no performance claims should be made until it is certified.
