Climate Change - Does it really matter?

The debate over climate change seems to be misleading the issue that taking care of our planet is the primary issue. Regardless of global temperatures rising, falling or staying the same depending on the review and the opinions of the individual authors, we should be considering our environment and ensuring it remains green and full of wildlife for our future generations to enjoy the same as we do today. No one wants to live next door to power plants, factories, and other polluting businesses but they are a requirement for our modern lifestyles. Why not ensure that everything is done to ensure future generations can enjoy whale watching, walking through forests and other past times enjoyed by millions of people on a daily basis. If something can be done to reduce our impact upon this planet then everything possible should be done to ensure that no more mistakes are made. We have already lost hundreds of animals and plants to our history books so why do we continue to lose any more when the reason is greed and lazyness.
