Once upon a time a few weeks ago, we made fun of some members of Congress for driving away from a hydrogen-fuel event in their huge SUVs, when they could have walked. Wouldn't it be funny if Al Gore drove short distances in a big SUV, too. Especially since he's promoting his new movie on climate change. Yes. It would be hilarious. And Matt Drudge, world-class wit, decided to write about it. But, sadly, it wasn't true. And, even if it was, Paramount is offsetting all the carbon emissions of the movies publicity tour, so Al Gore can drive a few inches in an SUV and still be doing alright. But he didn't.
At the same time, the President says he wont see "An Inconvenient Truth." Which is ok. To each his own. However (assuming this transcript is correct), "doubt it" is probably the most obnoxious possible way to answer the question. A simple "no" would have sufficed. For an extra bonus, watch Will Ferrell discuss climate change as George W.
