I have decided that I am going to chair a Go-Green club.  I am a little concerned that the younger children (K-1st grade) will not grasp what it is that they are signing up for.  My school consists of Kindergarten through 8th grade.

I attempted an Animal Friends club last quarter in an attempt to get the kids involved in helping animals in need and animal shelters lacking in funds and interest.  It was a great attempt until the younger children who said they understood decided that it was a Pet Club and they wanted cookies and to talk about their dogs and how many pets they've had in all and who walks their dog and cookies and hamsters and cookies.

Needless to say, the club was changed to involve more hands-on activities.  It was changed to a "Susie Homemaker" club..........

I need ideas for activities that meet State Standards and will be entertaining and enriching...
