At Least We Can All Enjoy High Speed Rail

The ban on gay marriage passed (sigh—come on, California) but at least we also passed Proposition 1A, the Safe, Reliable High Speed Passenger Train Bond Act.
The act approves nearly $10 billion in bond money to build a modern bullet train linking all of California’s major cities. It’s expected to reduce congestion and pollution and provide the state with a triple return on investment. The entire system is supposed to be complete by 2030.
So we can all—straight or gay—look forward to a fast, efficient, kick-ass rail system. Unless, of course, this is perceived as an attack on the traditional definition of train travel.

the idoits who planed this high tech choo-choo forgot somethings LIKE ALL OF CALIFORNIA NORTH OF SACRAMENTO
@Anonymous. No, they didn’t. High speed rail does not make sense north of Sacramento because so few people live there, so the ridership numbers would be far too low to justify the cost. The idea of CA-HSR is to connect all of the major cities in the state, and Sacramento is the Northernmost major city.
