On October 3rd this year, Shannon Galpin became the first woman to mountain bike in Afghanistan while raising awareness for women's rights and education. The founder and executive director of the non profit, Mountain 2 Mountain, Shannon used her bike as a vehicle to create awareness for empowerment of women and girls through education in Afghanistan.
