Can You Break A €20?

  • Posted by: Patrick James

Remember the Fonz? The post-war poster boy of an America that was already long gone by the time of Happy Days‘ airing? That anachronistic character just couldn’t adapt to the dramatically changing world. Unable to adapt, he became less and less relevant–a novelty caricature of high nostalgia and low value. What does this have to do, you might be asking, with anything? Well, we’ve just learned that the Euro is becoming an accepted form of currency at some New York retailers. We’re not saying the dollar is Fonzie, but we’re not not saying that either. Get with the (unthinkable) times comes to mind.
