Shortlisted in Design Boom's IIDA Competition 2010 was this car-shaped bike rack by Ilian Milinov, which turns a single parking space into what looks like 15 spots for bikes. It's difficult to evaluate the merits of the rack from the rendering, but we have to applaud the statement it makes about how we prioritize public space.
