After a week of Detroit Auto Show coverage, the New York Times finally brought down the hammer with this weekend headline:
Apparently, despite all sorts of greenwashing on the part of auto-manufacturers, there's still a plethora of good ole fashioned gas guzzlers. So why hasn't the shift toward fuel economy been more holistic? According to General Motors Vice Chairman Robert Lutz, "The analogy I like to use is that, at the height of the vegetarian craze, the grocery stores are still stocked with New York steaks."
