Cheap Intel

Intel strikes the next blow in the war with the $100 dollar laptop. They’ve announced that they’ll be selling computers to the burgeoning Indian market at prices 20% lower than the standard Indian computer. Which is still more than $100 dollars. But just ignore that part.

And, there are pictures (Via Boing Boing) of the working prototype of the $100 dollar laptop.

    I took a OLPC computer to Kenya in December but it was a plug in model.  Not too useful in the homes around Mt Kenya but works in the school and the kids LOVE it.  Wish it would have been a wind up model.
