Clean the World: A Hotel Soap Recycling Scheme

You know those little bars of soap you get in hotels? You use them once or twice and then they get tossed. That's a lot of wasted soap, right? Well, it depends on the hotel. The folks at Clean the World collect this leftover soap from about 175 hotels and bed and breakfasts, sanitize it, and distribute it to domestic homeless shelters and other countries that need it: Zimbabwe, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Swaziland, Mali, Mongolia, Uganda, Honduras, and Romania, among others. Brilliant.
