"Creeping Normalcy" defined by Jared Diamond in his book Collapse, he hypothesizes that a nation or culture becomes more dysfunctional, successive generations have a harder time realizing anything wrong because they are used to the unhealthy enviornment and have no institutional memory of what used to be. So people fool themselves into believing everything is fine despite obvious signs society is falling apart.



Shorter and sweeter: What we thought was horrible is now just the normal everyday.



Sooo....

Men, Women and Children dying, people in a war with their own, living in a country together.--I guess that is normal though.
