A team from Rice University has created a material that reflects almost no light. The darkest material ever. It’s made from minuscule tubes of carbon with walls a single atom thick.
Its ability to suck up light makes the stuff potentially useful in solar technologies. It also might create just the right ambiance for the Halliburton boardroom. Zing!
