This week, The Economist looks at the progress that women the world over have made in the workplace. Answer: Some advancement, but still a ways to go. And then it reports the following as fact:The cost of motherhood is particularly steep for fast-track women. Traditionally "female" jobs such as teaching mix well with motherhood because wages do not rise much with experience and hours are relatively light.
